On 26 January 2026, the final conference of the MINDPLAY – Youth Mental Well-Being through Sport project took place in Zaragoza, Spain, bringing together sports coaches, young people, project partners, and other stakeholders. The event provided an opportunity to present the project’s achievements and explore how sport can contribute to promoting positive mental health among young people.
During the conference, project partners presented the main results developed throughout the initiative, including the MINDPLAY Training Programme for Coaches and the Mental Well-Being through Sport Toolkit. The presentations highlighted practical methods and resources designed to help coaches create supportive, inclusive, and mentally healthy environments for young people through sport.
The event also showcased the impact of the project’s activities and opened a discussion on current challenges related to youth mental health. Participants exchanged experiences and ideas on the important role that coaches, youth workers, and sports organisations can play in supporting young people’s well-being.
