We are happy to share that a representative of Mundus Bulgaria attended the international forum “Moving Together: Sport for Youth Empowerment” in Sofia from May 13 to 15, 2026, hosted by The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC)!
The forum gathered youth workers, practitioners, and sports experts around the understanding that sport is far more than physical activity. The conference opened with remarks from youth policy and sports expert Petar Mladenov, who highlighted the Erasmus+ program as a key catalyst for transforming sporting values – such as perseverance, respect, and responsibility – into real-world opportunities for young people.
Across dynamic panels, participants explored non-formal education, democratic participation, and community building, featuring insights from Dilyana Gyurova (Junior Achievement Bulgaria), Yoanna Dochevska (Bulgarian Sports Development Association), and Nikola Dimov (Point-Comma Association). A key highlight was a dedicated session moderated by world-renowned tennis player Sesil Karatantcheva, which focused on the vital role sport plays in fostering physical and mental resilience while preventing social isolation.
The event concluded with networking and strategic planning for cross-border cooperation within the Erasmus+ Sport framework, reaffirming HRDC’s ongoing commitment to building active, inclusive, and empowered youth communities across Europe.
