The first live meetings under the project “SPORT & NFO – The Road to Community Development” was held at the end of June. The project is financed under the Erasmus+ sport collaborative partnership with project number: 622152-EPP-1-2020-1-BG-SPO-SCP. The meeting took place in Sofia and was attended by representatives from all participating countries – Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Spain, Portugal and Germany.
The project will serve to connect the formal education, NGOs and sports sectors, contributing to the creation of long-term multi-level cross-sectoral networks and cooperation. This will be achieved through the creation of innovative intellectual outcomes that will bring more clarity on how to use non-formal educational approaches and apply exercises using sport for educational purposes.
During the meeting, the coordination team of Mundus Bulgaria welcomed those present and opened the discussion on the upcoming phases of project implementation.
The activities and responsibilities are distributed among the organizations and each of them is aware of its participation in them. There were no remarks on the pre-agreed plan and the activities are to start as planned.
The next meeting, which will discuss the first outputs of the project, is scheduled for early next year and will be hosted by Portugal.
Regarding the safety of the participants, all security measures were taken, given the Covid-19 pandemic.
