On 18th of November, 2024, Mundus Bulgaria held a National Dissemination event to promote the FAMS project, its objectives and final results. The project’s mission to foster gender equality in sport management positions was presented to a wide audience of youth workers and sport sector stakeholders. Due to the large number of international participants the event was held in English.
The presentation highlighted the need of balancing the under-representation of women and mothers in sport and the promotion of employability of women in decision-making in the sport sector – objectives, which the FAMS project strives to achieve. The audience got acquainted with the project results, namely the Sport Curricula and the Training formats. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session, giving the participants a space for discussion.
During the National Dissemination event, participants were also introduced to the Education through Sport (ETS) methodology. Through physical exercises, they were challenged to come up with strategies and work in teams to complete three tasks. Thus, the FAMS National Dissemination event not only promoted the project, but also helped develop key soft skills of the participants.
