BOOST

BOOST: Kick-off Meeting in Berlin, Germany

We are happy to announce that the BOOST project has officially started! The kick-off meeting took place over two consecutive days on January 23 and 24 in Berlin, Germany.

The European Accelerator Programme for Sport for Social Impact – BOOST project aims to empower European grassroots sport professionals by providing them with the knowledge and support they need to design and implement effective Sport for Social Impact (SSI) programs. Through interconnected learning, mentoring, and design thinking, the project aims to connect entry-level and mid-level professionals with experienced mentors to co-create innovative solutions. The final goal is to strengthen the SSI sector, enabling more sustainable programs that drive positive social outcomes in areas like health, education, inclusion, and employability.

The kick-off meeting brought together representatives of all partner organizations from 5 countries who dedicated time to discussing the beginning of the project in order to get it off the ground. Day 1 of the meeting focused on comparing the similarities and differences between the RISE and BOOST projects, as well as exploring how to leverage the insights gained from the successful RISE project, as BOOST is complementary to it. Additionally, participants discussed the general direction of BOOST, the management and timeline of the project. On day 2, the partners dived into the details of what makes good mentors and mentees, and how the mentoring process could be structured.

We are excited to be working with our partners on this new project and believe that through active collaboration and joint efforts, we will be able to strengthen and expand the SSI sector and bring positive change to people in various fields.
