Share:

The Voices of Change (VOC) project has successfully concluded its enriching series of 13 webinars held between February 11 and March 13. Designed to promote civic engagement and political awareness among immigrant women, the series offered a deep dive into key issues related to political participation, EU structures and social inclusion.

Throughout the month-long initiative, participants engaged in thought-provoking sessions led by the project’s partner organizations from across Europe. The webinars covered topics ranging from civil society and advocacy to media literacy and gender intersectionality. Together, they helped empower underrepresented voices and promote inclusive political participation.

The webinar series included the following sessions:

  • “Advocacy and Policy Change in Europe” led by Cultural Foundation 1948

  • “Developing Leadership Skills” hosted by NEST & SOSU

  • “Political Participation and Leadership in Europe” delivered by Roma TRE

  • “Disinformation and Media Literacy in Europe” presented by Innovation Hive & Platform Ins

  • “Identifying Community Needs in Europe” organized by Mundus Bulgaria & Art Inn

  • “Overcoming CULTURAL Barriers in Europe” facilitated by NAPOCA

  • “Understanding Civic Engagement in Europe” co-hosted by Roma tre & Regional Volunteer Center

  • “Gender Intersectionality in Europe” led by Differenza Donna

  • “Women’s Rights and Advocacy in Europe” presented by IKIGAI

  • “2024 Parliament Elections: Impact and Results” coordinated by CCBI & MIITR

  • “Understanding the Role of Women in Politics in Europe” offered by Tia Formazione & Europamente

  • “Media and Communication Skills Applied in Europe” hosted by PFE & EESTI

  • “Introduction and Funding of the EU” provided by University FHM

These sessions provided critical information and interactive discussions on how women, especially those with migrant backgrounds, can navigate and influence the political landscape in Europe and make their voices heard. Participants also gained a clearer understanding of the structure of the EU, its policies, and the importance of informed civic engagement. We witnessed the continued interest of our participants from diverse backgrounds who engaged in very inspiring conversations. This leads us to believe that people got the most out of this project and that the spark of action was lit in their minds.

The VOC project team would like to thank all participating organizations, speakers and participants. Your commitment has played a pivotal role in empowering communities and fostering a more inclusive and engaged Europe!
