#ErasmusDays Meets #TimeToMove2025: The Erasmus+ Human Library Series

In October, we celebrated Erasmus Days with a series of three “Erasmus+ Human Library” events, made possible with financial support from the Center for Human Resources Development as part of the Eurodesk Time to Move 2025 campaign.

On October 13, 16, and 23, the Magnet Community Space in Sofia became a place for conversations and personal stories shared by participants in the Erasmus+, Discover EU, and European Solidarity Corps programs, and the opportunities they offer. The events were also available online in order to reach a wider audience, including those outside Sofia.

Each event focused on a different aspect of the programme. The first event focused on individual mobility opportunities under KA1 and the DiscoverEU initiative. The second event focused on KA2 and the European Solidarity Corps, while the third explored career development opportunities for youth workers within Erasmus+. Participants had the opportunity to hear real stories from the ‘Human Library’, ask questions and receive advice on how to get involved in similar projects.

Around 30 people attended the events, but our active social media campaign reached many more. Many participants shared that the meetings had helped them to better understand how the Erasmus+ programme works, the personal and professional development opportunities it offers, and how they can take the first steps towards international mobility.

The Erasmus+ Human Library campaign had a tangible impact, inspiring young people to travel and develop through non-formal education. These events fully align with Eurodesk’s objectives of providing reliable information and promoting young people’s access to European learning, volunteering and mobility opportunities.
