Manager for the Day

Mundus Bulgaria welcomed Kalina as Project Manager for the Day

On 23 October, our Sofia team took part in the national Junior Achievement Bulgaria initiative, ‘Manager for a Day’, for the first time. This initiative gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a real work environment. It is a chance for young people to take their first step towards their professional future. The initiative helps students to develop valuable qualities such as teamwork, communication skills, confidence, motivation and ethics.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Kalina, an ambitious student with big dreams, who was selected to join our team and act as project manager for the Erasmus+ programme for the day. Kalina has participated in several Erasmus+ training courses, which sparked her interest in youth work and the role of a facilitator.

At the outset, Kalina became familiar with the Erasmus+ programme and the project manager’s handbook, which improved her understanding of the programme’s structure, the various activities and the primary stages of project management.

She then performed some of the most fundamental project management tasks, such as conducting project research, preparing marketing campaigns (including visualisations, texts, and publishing), and preparing project documentation, including certificates and declarations of participation.

By the end of the day, Kalina had gained an insight into the role of a youth worker by helping to prepare our “The Erasmus+ Human Library Series” event. She took an active part in the discussions and observed how such events are facilitated, encouraging informal learning and the sharing of personal experiences.

Our team was impressed by Kalina’s perseverance, sense of responsibility, and positive attitude, all of which she demonstrated in every task she was assigned. We wish her every success and believe that this is just the start of her professional career with the Erasmus+ programme.
