The second Learning, Teaching & Training Activity (LTTA) of the Future Forge project has come to an end, and we are calling it a success!
Between 4th and 13th May this year, 30 youth workers and young people from Bulgaria, Poland and Italy gathered in the cozy coastal town of Cesenatico, Italy to focus on gamification. Together, the participants explored the potential of gamification in education through practical workshops, real case studies, and hands-on sessions for designing and implementing educational games. From learning how to integrate game elements into lesson scenarios to analysing successful examples in youth work – the group left no stone unturned.
The highlight of the LTTA was the start of co-creation of a practical Toolkit titled “Empowering youth through gamification”. The Toolkit will include 100 hands-on workshop scenarios for youth workers and youth leaders to implement. The workshops focus on personal and professional skills that young people can develop to prepare themselves for university and the job market. This resource will be available in the coming months on our website and those of our partners.
Beyond the learning, there was plenty of fun – game nights, cultural nights, local trips, new friendships, and many laughs. The Bulgarian participants returned home with new skills, stronger motivation, and great memories from the time spent with their peers from across Europe.
The Toolkit is expected to be published in the following months. Follow us on social media to learn more about what comes next. We are preparing some exciting live activities in Sofia, based directly on the results from this training.
