DiSCVET: Closing TPM

On the 30th of March 2023, the international consortium of DISCVET met for the last time to discuss the project. The process is coming to a close, and we are proud to present the main output of this project – an online hub for digital learning.

The project’s main aim is to improve teachers’ digital sovereignty skills, helping them to make more engaging lessons and knowing how to use the internet to their advantage – safely and legally. The switch to online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic was brutal, as many teachers were forced to work with tools they were never taught how to use. Having been thrown in the deep end, many managed, but with a lower quality of lessons. We want to lend a helping hand in not only supplementing the knowledge they already have, but also to help them keep students engaged during classes by teaching them about types of copyright, or Open Educational Resources.

Last Thursday the DISCVET team met in Nicosia, Cyprus. We went over what we have reached, and what else is there to do to make sure this project lives on.

This is why we encourage you to register on our website (https://discvet-hub.eu/login/index.php), especially if you are a VET school teacher. We’d love to hear your feedback and if the content we’ve been preparing for the past two years is helpful to you.
