Digital Skills Bootcamp

Explores different digital tools and virtual strategies in youth work, emphasizing methods to connect to your target audience through digital campaigns.

Background and aims

The digital transformation is a central priority of the Erasmus+ programme, addressing key modern challenges such as artificial intelligence, misinformation, and the evolving landscape of education and training in the digital age. In today’s fast-paced environment, building a high-performing digital ecosystem is essential. Developing digital competences – from evaluating online information critically to leveraging new platforms – empowers individuals and organisations of all sorts to actively participate in the digital world and maximize their social impact.

For youth workers and educators, possessing strong digital skills is no longer optional; it is critical for ensuring that impactful youth work and other impact-related work gets the visibility it deserves. The Digital Skills Bootcamp directly responds to this need by bridging the gap between social initiatives and effective project publicity and dissemination.

The primary aim of our training course is to equip youth workers and educators with the practical skills needed to design, execute, and manage targeted digital campaigns for NGOs and youth-led initiatives. By taking participants step-by-step through the core architecture of a successful social media campaign – from identifying key components and target audiences to using various digital tools for digital project management – the Bootcamp ensures that impact-driven organisations can amplify their message, engage the right communities, and effectively showcase their real-world impact.

What’s in for you?

This 5-day intensive training course is a practical, immersive experience designed to give beginner youth workers and aspiring campaigners everything they need to launch their very first marketing project with confidence. By blending digital strategy, practical tool training, and non-formal educational methods, the training course equips you with actionable skills that directly enhance your day-to-day work and community outreach.

Throughout the course, participants will move from the core fundamentals of a digital marketing project into actual practical execution. You will master the essential elements of building a social media campaign – from identifying key audience segments to finding ways to relate to them and reach them more effectively. Beyond marketing-specific platforms, you will learn to navigate digital project management systems alongside interactive tools for brainstorming, problem-solving, and visual content creation.

Learning takes place through active collaboration. Working in small teams, you will apply your new skills directly to real-world NGO initiatives, ultimately developing an authentic social media campaign from scratch. By the end of the programme, your team will present the finished campaign to the rest of the group and launch it live to a real online audience through our official social media platforms.

The Digital Skills Bootcamp balances intensive skill-building with non-formal learning methods, team-building exercises, and rich cultural exploration. As part of the wider Erasmus+ experience, you will discover practical tools that make your workload easier while connecting, sharing ideas, and collaborating with fellow youth workers and educators from across Europe.
